Michelle Krauska

Director of Development

Michelle joins A Children’s Habitat with over 20 years of experience working in Montessori Schools and helping them to grow. A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Environmental Studies from Butler University provided the foundation for many years as a grant writer. Michelle later earned a Master’s in Public Health in Community Health Education from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. Prior to discovering Montessori, Michelle worked at the Centers for Disease Control and was the Executive Director for a Migrant and Community Health Center, transitioning it from summer only to a full-time year-round clinic through grant writing and fundraising.

Michelle is passionate about Montessori education and while focusing on the children, faculty, and community, enjoys the challenge of accessing a variety of funding to provide the highest quality Montessori education possible.

Michelle is a native of Indiana and is happy to be back. When not at school, you will find Michelle deeply focused on a knitting project!
